How I updated my personal portfolio using NextJS, Tailwind, Storyblok and AI
I'm excited to share my latest project with you - the update to my personal portfolio website! This update involved a complete overhaul of my old website, which was built using a self-hosted WordPress site and PHP. I decided it was time for a change because of all of the annoyances I had with WordPress and PHP, and I wanted to try something new.
To get started, I used a beautiful template provided by tailwind called Spotlight as a starting point for the portfolio. This template uses TailwindCSS and NextJS, which are technologies I love and am familiar with. I then migrated the code to TypeScript and moved all of the website's content to Storyblok, a headless CMS.
One of the most exciting parts of this update was the use of ChatGPT to write blog posts about some of my favourite software projects I have made in the past, as well as to write my "about me" section. In fact, even this blog post was written by AI!
Overall, I'm really happy with the way the new website turned out. It's faster, more modern, and easier to use than my old website, and I'm excited to see how it performs going forward. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
