I recently participated in the Ludum Dare game jam, where the theme was "your life is currency." In just 48 hours, I developed a shoot-em-up game inspired by space invaders called Sacrificial Defence.
In this game, you play as a defender tasked with protecting your base from waves of invading aliens. As you fight off the attackers, you'll have the option to sacrifice your health points to upgrade your weapons. This adds an interesting strategic element to the gameplay, as you'll need to carefully consider how much health you're willing to sacrifice in order to gain an advantage.
One of the things I'm most proud of is that I was able to complete the game in just 48 hours. This was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I was thrilled to see the game come together in such a short amount of time.
Overall, I'm really happy with how Sacrificial Defence turned out. The game has already received some positive feedback, and I'm looking forward to continuing to develop it in the future.
